I thought that would draw some attention ..... When mistakes and errors are made own up! You can apologize and get though it.
Anyways be sure that when you commit to something it stays with you.
Therefore be prepared. Prepare yourself and go through all scenarios prior to committing so that you do not let down others.
Anyone can make mistakes. An error. An oversight and get caught up in the banality of the trudge.
Break free! Acknowledging your mistakes and making them right are key.
You must play and live with a clear conscience.
Each year, we begin a new quest. Each new season brings a promise of new beginnings. We remember the past but search for our own glory.
As we begin this new fall season of Kubb, I am excited for what these new beginnings hold for everyone.
Renewal, spring eternal
Strive for life
Spiral out, keep going
This is Social Media
Yes it can be rote and boring and everyone saying the same thing.
Even if you say something different,
So is somebody else until it all sounds the same.
So here are a few tips for big social
Media events such as tomorrow.
Keep it short
Terrorist suck. Forget them. They only do what they will do. You do what you do.
Do it well.
Don't take any sh@$ for your hard work.
Do not fear. Yes things are happening and they will.
Remember to love
Remember to live
Tell people they are cool
It is all good
We are here because of the heroes
Let's talk baton throwing.
I have noticed many new throwers holding the baton in the middle and twisting the wrist for extra thrust
As these throwers become more seasoned they inch down the length of the baton.
It seems more control is had at first holding the baton mid-baton. Palm up with a direct toss to the Kubb
I think if you can manage this toss it is good for short distance but then leaves no room for additional thrust
Holding the baton at the end of the baton and spinning it end over end with a top grip gives much more thrust, however the toss needs to be much more direct.
Many different throws are possible, you must choose and practice all different types before you are satisfied and comfortable with your ability.
Keep trying different moves in different situations.
Let me know in your comments how you throw and what you think best practice is....
Throw with confidence
Summer time is awesome. A time
To relax and a time to reflect. Lest we forget we still owe ourselves to be preserve what our forefathers gave us.
Do not go quietly. Keep playing keep
Performing up to your highest standard.
There is always a chance for you to
Remind yourself that you have greater
Power than you realize. Focus that power like a lazerbeam use it and mold it to your will.....to create and cause and construct a world a life an experience you can be joyful of and others can be proud of.
Let us use this summer league as a test
Or as a reminder to keep trying and not to give up
Remember everyone starts at the same level
And the cream always rises to the top
Happy summer and positive thoughts to keep you moving forward.
Do not rust
Always working always working for yourself, your family and for those who need it
It is time. It has always been time and you know it.
Take up arms against laziness, against pity.
Spring and summer, the most remembered times of all. Make the best of these times, the time you have.
I was recently reading an article about Jack London and his life. This dude was a badass and so are you.
At least you can be.
Here's a quote, it's in my wallet....
"I would rather be ashes than dust! I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry rot.
I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in a magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet.
The function of man is to live, not to exist.
I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them.
I shall use my time. " - jack London
Keep on kubbing
Is it a gathering? A get-together?
We do take this sporting things seriously.
When we meet for the league, this is practice for the tourney so bring your A-game each time.
It will matter and it does matter. Even if you feel the cream should always rise to the top, being placed on top helps keep you there.
King of the hill, that's how we we play. You have to take out the king in each game and you have to take out the lead winners who are kings in their own right.
Take heart, take it seriously contact ECK for a set and practice practice win.
That's how you get it done
Also within the comments sections we are looking for some good sayings about KUBB that we can place in quotes
Kubb- "it's good to be the king"
Kubb- "always up for a good time"
Any and all suggestions considered and appreciated
Fresh things always entice me, the newness of it. Does not matter, just ripping off the plastic layer or paper or tape for the first time.
Keeping things fresh is not easy. After you open whatever it is, almost immediately it begins to spoil or get old. Much like keeping a fire going.
Gotta stoke that fire.
This is true for everything. Move do not get stagnant. Get out there and keep that fire stoked.
Well, and if it goes out? Relight it!
It's not that hard just remember that feeling when you first opened that package and that newness hit you.
"....it's better to burn out than to fade away" ...Neil Young
When in Rome
That is a saying I hear a lot. This mode of thought however requires one to then put aside perceptions and feelings that could help us and allow us to contribute when we are traveling or even cooperating on a business or Kubb level
Recently I was in Oregon and Washington traveling for business.
During this brief excursion I noticed how there are differences and similarities from the two coasts as I am sure there are also some from the Deep South to the Midwest .
What I did notice however is that many
Personalities and ways of behaving or speaking--colloquialisms can be related to driving
Yes as I was driving I realized I was driving as a New Yorker getting where
I have to go. I noticed a car certainly a local, no question an older model car not a young person in the seat just tooting along.
As I can up on them they moved over and allowed me to pass. This was something a good New York driver would do to keep the flow of traffic going.
Well i thought on this more and
More on my 2
Plus hour drive further
North. That person was not so focused on the destination, the rules of the road or getting everyone somewhee ..... They were just being nice!
It reminded me of arriving from my red eye the night previously where everyone was tired we are all
Connections and I get on them plane and it is like a party.....it seems everyone knows each other they are joking around and having a ball .... Pretty cool
Does this mean New Yorkers are not nice? No! That is a perception
But noticing these similarities can certainly help you when you are traveling and when you are in competition
Notice the other teams. Talk to them
Get to know them. Once you do this you
Can have a better understanding of their perspective
......then you can crush them
In a friendly way of course
Do not so as the Romans do
Respect what they do then do what you do
It's getting warmer very soon
Let's get out there and share our perspective
