It is time. It has always been time and you know it. Take up arms against laziness, against pity. Spring and summer, the most remembered times of all. Make the best of these times, the time you have. I was recently reading an article about Jack London and his life. This dude was a badass and so are you. At least you can be. Here's a quote, it's in my wallet.... "I would rather be ashes than dust! I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry rot. I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in a magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet. The function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time. " - jack London 'Nough said Keep on kubbing And living

It took until the end of Kubb season but I finally figured out how to access East Coast Kubb website. My confusion was I kept accessing the Facebook page thinking that was where to go to access the standings. Perhaps to include others into our circle further clarity is needed. Now that the regular season is concluded I have a few thoughts. First, how the hell do I only have only 17 baselines recorded? Oh that's right I don't believe in stats just wins and losses. But if we are keeping stats I believe there are other stats just as important such as short throw saves, multiple knockdowns, and walk up baseline knockdowns. To all those new to this game or to those who are reluctant to join I say do not be discouraged. Kubb is a game of community, it is a mental game as much as a physical one and therefore men and women of all ages and levels of athletic ability are capable of being great Kubb players. I have played this game since the. early 2000s when our Dear Leader first purchased it. I have won more than I have lost but i don't believe I became a top player until about 5 years ago. Something clicked and within the last year with the help of yoga I have formed greater discipline during the course of a game. Many will credit the Kubbenators success so far to the great base line play of our new team mate Ray, but to that I say what about the fact Greg and I won the championship last year without him? Some may say it is Greg's solid short game and mind games he likes to play on opponents but what about the cold stretches he goes through when Ray and I have had to carry him. No the true reason the Kubbenators are undefeated in tournament play is my unwavering belief in my teammates and myself to make the shots needed to stay alive. I've been through a lot tougher predicaments in life than being down a few base line shots. That more than the physical ability is what makes us formidable. As we expand let our battles test us for our true enemies such as players from other towns and states. Let it to be known that a Kubb player is like a New York City point guard, a high school football recruit from Southern Florida or Western Pennsylvania, or anywhere young men aspire to be Kings! Grow the game

Just to clarify I meant a Kubb player from East Coast Kubb league is that type of player. When you think of an East Coast Kubb player it means a player who is battle tested

Duly noted. In the meantime please change my statistic from 17 base line throws to 0. I do not wish for my good name to be besmirched by a made up statistic.
